Obsession

This is a story that you either love it or hate it... no one just kind of likes it. I am talking of Harry Potter of course. I am on the side that loves it.. kind of an obsession, like I have read the books over and over and I finish reading them quickly.  I think I started reading them when I was in 4th grade so a damn long time. So to know that this movie is the last movie I will see in theaters kind of makes me think part of my childhood is ending.
I love all these movies and books to no end and glad I had them in my life to let me escape for a couple hours a day and let my imagination run wild. I am so so anxious to see this last movie though, I am seeing the midnight showing on the 14th then I am seeing it again on the 15th and I think I might see it once or twice more...but we shall see.
Today I went and signed my contract with PMTS and got my financial aid all set up so that I can start on the 26th with ease. It was pretty painless.. to know that I have less than 8 thousand in student loans is not too bad if you think about it. I know I won't make much but it's something I love to do and won't get sick of it. I am sure I am going to need volunteers though so anyone want to be my model then just let me know so I may call upon you when the time comes... I promise I won't destroy your hair! :)

I am the worst

I am the worst blogger, seriously there is so much I have done but just haven't wanted to post about, Sorry for those who want to know what I am up to in my life I am gonna make a bullet list of things I have done so far this month and then give you some updates on other things

  • Took a fishing trip to Schofield
  • Ran a 5 K with Amanda, Abbey, and Torilynn, beat my record of 45 minutes with a 39 minutes, now I know that isn't the best but it's improvement which is all I can ask for, I have been running 11:30 minute miles, which is just an improvement for not working out at all.
  • Did Fathers Day with all sides of the family
  • Had my Mommy's birthday
  • Went to Vegas and got sunburned
  • Broke down in Mesquite leaving Vegas and didn't get home for about 12 hours. (It was miserable 105 degree weather and got misdiagnosed by the autozone guy bought an expensive alternator, and found out that it wasn't the alternator but the battery, and yes I was furious)
  • Been fishing at the Resivor a lot.
  • Getting out basement livable (I will post pictures when it's done but who knows when that will be)
  • Tractor pulls
That's what I have been up to in a nutshell.
I have lost a couple of pounds since I last weighed in but I still have a long way to go. I am running another 5k this coming month for my moms work, I am very anxious to start school, I am also looking for a part time server job so I can keep busy and bring in some extra money, especially since I have been buying lots of clothes for school.
My Girlfriend Amanda is taking me to see Harry Potter 7 part 2 and I am seriously tickled pink! I can't wait!
I am looking forward to this coming month and to start school is going to be so exciting and I hope it's as fun as I think of it as

I'm the Grinch

So as some of my family knows I am kind of a grump at Christmas. I don't think you can blame me since I have worked in most retail stores every holiday and every Black friday since I turned 16. If anyone has ever been to a black friday sale you know that it's a giant cluster fudge (edit) I KNOW there is no Christmas spirit in the air during that day at any store. To my family for every year I have been a grump I am sorry.
This year I didn't work the Black Friday, and my day was muuuuch better. I spent the day with my Hubby and family and then saw Harry Potter. (Best black friday ever!) My job is being GREAT and letting me take a whole 25 days off of all Christmas season. If that isn't some Christmas spirit (Laced with some American pride) I don't know what is. So this year I am going to take this a whole different route. I am going to enjoy that I have the people I have around me, I am going to laugh and be enjoyable to be around. I won't be in a shopping funk and buy people stuff because I have to, It'll be because I want to. I won't worry about the money. I think I can feel my heart growing 3 sizes this year.

Back to life

I suppose some of you may be wondering why I have not posted anything in a while... I been busy okay. Guess I will update a bit... So Dave's been home for over 2 weeks now. Thanksgiving was great. Sarah and I made seperate parts of Thanksgiving dinner and met up at her house. We played Wii and ate and had a good time. The weekend before my mom and Dave's mom came to visit and we had a good time hanging out with them. The day after Thanksgiving my Grandpa was in town and took us to lunch, and that night Dave and I went to Harry Potter 7 pt 1... Seriously I hate hate HATE that they made them in 2 parts. Makes me not want to watch it again until the 2nd part comes out. Really it's soooo rediculous, but they followed the book fairly well. I been working a lot at Albertsons and they are being sooo awesome and letting me take 3 weeks off for Christmas and for Holiday Leave. Leave starts next weekend and we will be in Utah until the new year.
Really there isn't anything new, just getting situated back into being a married couple that lives together.
Something exciting is we might be getting out of the Marines 3 months earlier than we guessed... I think we will have to wait and see but It could happen. Fingers crossed.
