Life is too short.

As I sit here in my new apartment in California knowing I am only a couple months away from seeing my husband again, I reflect on how truly blessed that he is safe and knowing he is coming home. There are those who's husband/wife's passed away and there is nothing to take away that hurt. War or not Life is to short. I moved to Spanish Fork Utah and became friends with my across the street neighbors. The boy my age was Colton Johnston. He got married right out of high school with a girl I graduated with as well. They had a 3 year old girl named Oaklee, and had their son Bridger who was only 7 months. When I heard he had passed away I was in shock. Its hard to realize the person I graduated with and lived only across the street with for so long passed away. Leaving his beautiful wife Stacie and his two children behind.
With military I am only too accustom with things of this magnitude, it hurts no more or no less than anyone else, but with the military we get a certain benefit... lets be honest NONE of us actually want the things the military provides after the death of our men or women but it's nice to know we won't have to worry about that. At the tender age of 21 when Colton died he was between jobs and wasn't covered with insurance yet, and the lack of life insurance she is not only left to grieve her husband's loss but she is now trying to cover medical, and funeral costs. I know to those of you reading can spare some money to this cause.
We all know what it could be like, some have experienced, some have not but I know this is the #1 worst nightmare that could ever happen. (war or not)
